I am currently reading a book called Brisingr from Christopher Paolini’s Inheritence Series. It is a hard cover copy and its front is embossed with an imporsonation of the authors own designe. It is about a Dragon Rider’s jurney across his home land, Allegasia. The Rider’s name is Eragon and his dragon’s Saphira. Together they must vanquish the mad king Galbatorix to free the world of evil. It has a map of Allegasia at its beginning and a glossary of languages and names at its end. The lenghty novel is full of both action and suspence in equal measures, a combonation that prevents you from putting it down and leaves you waiting for more. Whilst it is deffinatly a fiction novel the scenes that Christopher Paolini have created seem real and almost envelop you in their density. The only critesism I can think of is that the books take far too long to get to the shelves! Suspence is good but it can be quenched over time. The book does’nt seem to be aimed at any one audiounce and I think that both children and adults alike would enjoy it. There is a motion picture based on Brisingr’s prequel and I believe that once you hav read the series you, like me, will be waiting for the next three. I would like to congradulate Christopher Paolini on his excellent collection of literature: it really is a master piece!

Recently I have given you a review on SCiLleD records’s progress on creating a single song titled “memorez”. I can now confirm that whilst the time is up the song is not recorded. Therefor I am reasonably peeved as I, the Art Development Head, did all the work save the recording which I left for my peers. Now, dispite my efforts I am bieng asked by our singer to sing and record on my own! So I appolagize to our share holders for the inconvienence and say that I will again report back when we have recorded.

Today we were lucky enough to have David from the CSIRO network come to our school. He provided us with an insight to his job, a recap on the basic elements and six hands on experiments. We were especially fortunate to expierieance this specticle as it is not a compulsary part of our curriculam and the school funded the majority of its cost. Some of the experiments we were alowed to conduct included such matiereals as magnesium, zink, milk, water and corbon dioxide, the ways in which these chemicals react are usually not subject to our examination until year nine but for our one hour period we were permitted to use them. Some of these ways included practices like carbanation, evaporation and electrically charging a bulb via our own newely created battery. It was great fun and was only interupted by our momentary silance on the eleventh hour.

Ok, first of all I’m starting to think I’m going to have to make whole new page dedicated to home work. No. Scratch that- a new website! I mean seriously… Seccondly there is yet another home work task on the book I’m reading. If any body out there acctually reads this I can tell you that the task is th write a 200 word book review, so, here goes! Acctually I don’t know how to write a book review so bear with me while I look it up…
Ok, according to ” How To Write A Book Review” this is something like how it should look:

The book I am courantly reading is from the Conspiracy365 series and is called September. It was written by Gabrielle Lord and is a fiction book based on the life of a framed but never the less 16 year old fugitive. The copy I hold has an ISBN of 978-1-74169-321-8 and includes many print outs from Call’s, the main character, blog. It also came with a limited edition Conspiracy365 stop watch in theme with the books counting down to the date when Call turns 16.
The book has an interesting feel to it so it is dificult to discribe its theme. It is action packed at some points but also provides some mysterious sections that creats the sort of suspense which keeps you coming back. In fewer words I would say it could be classed as a “mystery” novel like Scooby-Doo. My thesis: No mater how good or skilled you are, the side with more people will alwoys prevail. Despite me liking the book in general every book has its flaws- this one is it’s believeability. It is set in a real town but the things that occur simply do not suit this realistic aspect. To contredict this depressing side and put to rest any suspissions that the book is’nt really that good I can confirm that Gabriell Lord really does know how to create suspence! She leaves you hanging at the end of every book, something that will keep her readers buying and for that piece of literature I have to commend her. The illustrations and graphics within the novel, however rare, aid to the readers comprehension and make the book far more interesting that in could have been. As a conclusive statment I would say that the book is well written for the younger audiounce who I feel, like me, would enjoy it with a pashion. I would also reccomend it to anyone looking for both an easyer read and a great story line.

Gee- thats gotta be my longest post ever- 456 words! Well, how did I go? Comment and let me know!

I rarely ever listen to my radio but when I do tune in I like to listen to SAFM on 107.10. For Homework we were asked to listen to listen to something differant so I thnue into NOVA on 91.90. Compared to SAFM NOVA had far more adds, more talking and much less music. So from this research I can conclude that every differant radio station will have differing contern and may be suited to differant age groups. I will stick to my channel as that is the one I preffer but for others that enjoy listening to the stations hotst rather that music I would reccomend NOVA.

The Japanese art of Haiku poetry has become the prime interest of our literature studies. These include the writing, inquiring and publishing of our own unique Haiku poems. A Haiku poem is essentially three lines, the first of witch has five syllables, the second seven and the third five again. A true Haiku (that rhymes, unlike a Haiku!)!) is about nature and its beauties however our own have been based on some less natural topics. Here are two of mine:

My Desk

Birds express Spring by Singing.
